Emily is Away

Title: Emily is Away <3  Game System: PC (Steam)  Game Type: Text Simulation

The year is 2008 and AIM is dead (for those of you old enough to know what I am talking about) all of your friends are on "facenook" and finally convince you to join. With your friends' help you navigate the end of high school. There are multiple ways the game can end, you get to decide how it does. You go through a few chapters to decide how the end of high school ends for you.

I enjoyed this small game, I would have enjoyed seeing more added to it. However, for what it is it's a nice game. In order to type you just have to hit only 1 button to type it and then hit enter for it to send. It's a game to sit and enjoy for a couple hours.

Princess Posey and the Perfect Present

Title: Princess Posey and the Perfect Present  Author: Stephanie Greene  Pages: 85  Genre: Children's Fiction

Posey is a first grader that loves school. She is Princess Posey when she puts on her favorite pink tutu. She gets told in school that it's her teacher's birthday the next day and she wants to get the perfecct present. The flowers she has helped take care of in her yard are just the right thing right? What happens when your best friend gives flowers too? Now she has to find a new perfect present for her teacher to let her know she likes her the best!

This book is a quick read. I read it in a couple days with my twins. It has a great lesson in it and its a cute story. It even had me choke up a bit with how cute it was. It is something that young kids can relate with. I enjoyed reading this with my kiddos :)

A Discovery of Witches

Title; A Discovery of Witches  Author: Deborah Harkness  Pages: 579  Genre: Fantasy

Diana wasn't your typical witch (if she was would their be a book?) She lost her parents at a young age and didn't want anything to do with magic even though her Aunt tried to get her to. It's not until she is an adult working at a college in England where the twists start. She gets a manuscript that changes everything and to top it off a Vampire is watching her. The vampire Matthew turns into a great ally and friend to keep Diana safe from the new foes that come around because she brought out this manuscript that has the beginning of time of how the creatures were created. From this all of Diana's powers start letting themselves be known and there are a ton of creatures she has to face alone and with Matthew to survive.
I absolutely loved this book. It was recommended to me by a friend and I hated being an adult and having work and kids and responsibilities where I had to put the book down. It got my attention pretty early on and caught my attention more and more as the story was reaching its climax. Deborah did a wonderful job of the story, characters and imagery. I really hope I can find the second book soon so I can continue this story to see what happens next!

~I was asked to review this by the author~

This is a small memoir about how what you do in certain circumstances can make or break you. As a young boy Kyle got into 3 fights that has helped make him into the man he is today. He describes how he got into the fights in a fun way which made me laugh and I felt like I was there with him.

Forbidden

Pages: 454 Author: Tabitha Suzuma Genre: Real life/ romance
This book is very well written and I enjoyed reading it. At first I didn't know what to think honestly. However, I am a person that will try anything once so after reading Wizard's First Rule I decided to read this one given to me by one of my best friends for Christmas.
The book goes back and forth each chapter from Lochan (17-18 year old boy) to his sister Maya (16-17) and them realizing and acknowledging that they love each other and what they do about it. It really makes you think about your own views of what society has taught us and what you think of it all.
When you think of the word incest what comes to mind? Reading this book make sure you keep and open mind and see it from their point of view or you may just not be able to finish it or even get near it. If the thought of reading it scares you then don't. However, I highly suggest it to anyone and everyone that reads my blog!

WARNING: Book has explicit content!!!
